Churchtown Botanic Garden
Bankfield Lane, Southport, UK
+44 (0)1704 214164
Just a few minutes out of the centre of Southport, in Churchtown, is Southport's Botanic Gardens.
Originally opened in 1874, these Victorian gardens contained many attractions including a magnificent glasshouse, an aviary, and a large, heated fernery. The glasshouse was dismantled a century ago, but the fernery has been maintained and contains an extensive collection of subtropical and tropical ferns from all parts of the world.
Churchtown Botanic Garden is open all year round.
